#0.5.1

  • Updated dependencies [14d80b3]

    • @inlang/paraglide-js@1.11.1

#0.5.0

#Minor Changes

  • 4e1aefa: PrefixStrategy now has a prefixes option to customize which prefix a language uses in the url.

    const strategy = PrefixStrategy<AvailableLanguageTag>({
    	prefixes: {
    		"de-CH": "swiss", // use /swiss instead of /de-CH in the URL
    	},
    })

    Prefixes must be unique and may not include slashes.

    Inspired by Astro's custom locale paths.

#Patch Changes

#0.4.4

#Patch Changes

  • 94f365b: Added a generateAlternateLinks API for easily adding <link rel="alternate" tags to your page <head>. This is in addition to the Link HTTP-Headers that are already present.

    Use it like this in your layout.tsx file:

    // src/app/layout.tsx
    import { generateAlternateLinks } from "@inlang/paraglide-next"
    import { strategy } from "@/lib/i18n"
    import type { Metadata, ResolvingMetadata } from "next"

    export const generateMetadata = (params: any, parent: ResolvingMetadata): Metadata => {
    	return {
    		alternates: {
    			languages: generateAlternateLinks({
    				origin: "https://example.com", // the origin of your site
    				strategy: strategy,
    				resolvingMetadata: parent,
    			}),
    		},
    	}
    }

    You do not need to do this on every page, just the root layout

    • @inlang/paraglide-js@1.8.0

#0.2.0

#Minor Changes

  • e1ce7fa: A major overhaul to the way routing is done. This update introduces the concept of a RoutingStrategy, which allows you to implement any arbitrary routing strategy ontop of paraglide-next's primitives.

    Alongside this we add the Navigation and Middleware APIs, which take advantage of the new RoutingStrategy interface.

    While this is a major change to how the library is used, the old createI18n API is still available & works the same. Thus this is not marked as a major change.

    The legacy createI18n API will be removed in the next major release.

Instead, you can just use the component without any props. It will automatically use the runtime and language tag from the context.

    This change was enabled by the last-minute plugin changes that made it valuale to use in the pages router.
